FISHING EQUIPTMENT, DRY FLIES, FLY FISHING
I was born and raised in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. My birth home was so far back in the forest even the wild animals sometimes lost their way home. The mountains were so tall it was almost noon before the sun could warm the valley. We had streams for fishing as well as hunting. My grandma would take me fishing with her from the time I was two years old. Grandma would tie me to a tree with a rope so if I fell in she could pull me out of the water. Grandma couldn't swim. I would play with the bugs, ants and fishing worms while grandma fished. Grandma would keep any fish she caught and eat them even the old Mud Catfish. I felt like I had graduated when the rope was no longer need and we kept on fishing together until the day she died. Now I live where the edge of my vast backyard is the shore of the Arkansas River. I catch about 600 pounds of fish setting in my backyard in the shade during the day or at night with my flood lights. Sometime I am disturbed while resting in my hammock when my fishing pole would bend double and slap the surface of the water.
It is said by some, I believe it to be true, in the case of fishing plugs and dry flies they are made to catch the buyer. The buyer then hopes they will catch a fish. This is a bonanza sell of professionally designed hand tied dry flies by a real fisherman and student of what trout, bass, crappie, perch, brim and other types of panfish like to eat. He sometimes catch other types of fish because the flies look so real. This different group consist of flies with the name of Woolly Booger, Nymph, May Fly, Royal Coachmen. Brim buster, Catalpa and others.
